ABOUT
REDEEMER UCC

GET TO KNOW US

A LITTLE MORE IN DEPTH

We gather each week at 10:00 AM Sunday morning for music, prayers, scripture readings, a message, and to share each other's joys and concerns. Our modern sanctuary has prayer shawls on chairs throughout the room for you to take and give to anyone who may be going through a difficult time or to those celebrating a joyous event. Large print bulletins and hearing devices are available to use, and our building is at one level, with air conditioning, and accessible. Plenty of parking space and valet parking is available. There is no dress code; dress how you feel comfortable - many of us wear jeans, shorts, and other casual clothes.

We also gather each Wednesday evening for a non-traditional worship experience. Elements found in the non-traditional worship are songs, prayer, scripture, topic presentation, discussion, communion and food! The purpose of this worship experience is to create a sense of community and relationship in a less traditional experience. If you are new to the experience of church or have been unsatisfied with traditional church, this may be an option for you!

At Redeemer, children are an important part of the worshiping and learning community.  Children are encouraged to participate in worship.  There is a special time for The Child In All Of Us during the Sunday service.  Children are invited forward and adults are encouraged to accompany children who may be cautious. Supervised nursery care is available for children under age 3 during Sunday worship. In the nursery are toys, a rocking chair, a changing table (also in all of our restrooms) and a toddler-sized toilet for those working on potty training.  If you’d prefer to sit by the fireplace or let your toddler explore the Great Hall (the gathering space outside of the sanctuary), the Sunday worship service is broadcast there as well.

Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. Redeemer practices “Open Communion” as Jesus did.  Christ’s table is open to everyone, whether you’re a member of Redeemer, another church, or no church at all. Children are welcome to participate in communion as soon as parents feel they are ready. In addition to the bread and wine, gluten-free bread and grape juice are available.

The third Sunday each month please come and join us around the fireplace at 8:15 AM in the Great Hall for a continental breakfast with Panera bread and conversation with members and friends of Redeemer.

Sunday Worship

We hope that you will join us on Sundays to experience our worship and community. We worship at 10:00 AM and celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome to participate in communion: children and adults, members and visitors, divorced and remarried. Nursery care for children under the age of 3 is available.

Wednesday Worship

We gather on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM for an intergenerational activity. Activities will vary. Fall through Spring will be mission project focused. At 6:15 PM we share a meal made by one of congregants.

In the fall September-May we do dinner church worship. Dinner church includes a scripture reading, a focus topic with discussion, communion, songs and prayer.

I'M GRATEFUL FOR REDEEMER BEING ALL INCLUSIVE. THIS CONGREGATION HAS HELPED ME UNDERSTAND LIFE.
